Matjama Põldvutifarm asutati 1978. aastal kohaliku Metsainstituudi poolt. Alates 2001. a. tegutseb farm Järveotsa vutifarmi nime all. Järveotsa vutifarmis on 10 000 põhikarja lindu. Põhitoodanguks on vutimunad ja –liha. Farm võimaldab toota kuni 12 miljonit muna ja 25 t liha aastas. Toodangut realiseeritakse valdavalt Eestis, vähesel määral ka Soome.
